Simone Murray

Simone Murray is Associate Professor in Literary Studies at Monash University, Melbourne where she teaches the 3rd-year unit Digital Literatures (ATS3091). Her book Mixed Media: Feminist Presses and Publishing Politics (Pluto Press UK) was awarded the 2005 SHARP DeLong Book Prize. Her second monograph, The Adaptation Industry: The Cultural Economy of Contemporary Literary Adaptation (Routledge, 2012) has been widely reviewed. Her current research into how the internet is transforming literary culture will culminate in the monograph The Digital Literary Sphere: Reading, Writing, and Selling Books in the Internet Era, in press with Johns Hopkins University Press (due out early 2018).
